About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Beyond Borders: Advances in Global Welfare has a global orientation, with an emphasis on subject areas of relevance to the field of Social Work. Accordingly, each year a specific theme or topic of global relevance will be identified and will form the basis of reflection.

Leading scholars in the specified area will be invited to submit a manuscript for the first issue of the year, as well as to suggest potential respondents to their work, whose replies will be published in the second issue. Additionally, each of these issues will highlight select human service organizations utilizing evidence-based practices and innovation to transform social service delivery. In an effort to include the most cutting-edge, community-based practices, the organizational profiles will address emerging concepts or issues sparking debate in the field of Social Work.

Peer Review Process
