Abstract

Mehdi Kayi is a junior in MCAS who is passionate about the life sciences, philosophy, and public
health. He aspires to pursue a career in primary care, preventive medicine, and global public
health. Mehdi is particularly interested in developing interventions in his second home continent
of Africa that have remarkable impacts, such as the MenAfriVac campaign to reduce the
incidence of bacterial meningitis and the Plumpy'nut provision to tackle acute malnutrition in
children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing volleyball,
and going on spiritual retreats.
