Abstract

A major challenge that India is facing is the existing imbalance between inbound and outbound student mobility. The inflow–outflow ratio of about 1:10 is a matter of concern. Evidence shows that it is not only the human capital that is flowing out of India, but also a substantial amount of revenue. In connection with this, concerns have been raised, which need immediate attention from Indian policy makers.
