Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not previously been published in any academic journal, edited volume, or peer-reviewed venue, and has not appeared in substantially similar form in another formal publication; postings on preprint servers or repositories (e.g., PhilPapers, personal websites), as well as blog or non–peer-reviewed writing platforms (including Medium, Substack, and similar outlets), do not constitute prior publication.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Please submit thoughtful, original, creative papers on any philosophical idea or topic, from a variety of perspectives, traditions, and approaches. 

Author Guidelines: 

• Author must be a student pursuing an undergraduate degree or equivalent

• Manuscripts must be written in English

• No minimum or maximum length requirement

• Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)

• Text must be double-spaced, use a 12-point font, and employ italics rather than underlining (except for URLS)

• Citations are required. Any standard citation style may be used upon submission; however, accepted manuscripts must be converted to Chicago Manual of Style for publication
