About the Journal
Fuse is a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal that is written, edited, and reviewed primarily by undergraduate students at Boston College with the hope of bringing undergraduate research to a larger audience. We are currently seeking submissions for our spring 2023 issue. The deadline for submissions is December 1st, 2022. Fuse is intended to be a collection of articles based on original laboratory research, reviews of current literature, and perspectives on issues facing the scientific community. Primarily focusing in biology, chemistry, neuroscience, and physics, the editorial board looks to offer insight into what it is like to be an undergraduate researcher at Boston College and encourages students to reach out to the board with any questions concerning content, editorial processes, and scholarship.
All students interested in joining the editorial team should contact the current Editor-in-Chief, which can be found on the contact page of this site.
Fuse was founded in 2022 by Carolyn Joyce, '23, and Haden Wikar, '23, to bring the undergraduate research experience to a larger audience. Both Carolyn and Haden consider research to be a vital part of the undergradute experience and encourage all students to get involved!
