Innovative Universities as an Instrument of Higher Education Transformation
Abstract
Innovative universities often receive favorable attention from practitioners and scholars, as they
remind us that academic institutions can be imaginative. Over and above that, innovative higher
education institutions complement policy reforms by diversifying, upgrading, and potentially
redefining the university as such. Nevertheless, their role in higher education development remains
underexplored.
