CARMEN GÁNDARA Y LA CRÍTICA ESTÉTICA COMO REFLEXIÓN FILOSÓFICA: LOS TEXTOS DE REALIDAD. REVISTA DE IDEAS (1947-1949)

El presente artículo examina la obra crítica de la escritora argentina Carmen Gándara en Realidad. Revista de ideas (Buenos Aires, 1947-1949). El análisis comenzó con una primera lectura exploratoria de los trece textos que integran el corpus, y posteriormente se seleccionaron y analizaron algunos fragmentos. En estos textos, Gándara combina la crítica estética con la reflexión filosófica. La operación de lectura de Gándara, su labor interpretativa, se concreta en los textos mediante una estrategia de aproximación y distanciamiento en relación al objeto de la crítica. De esta manera, Gándara combina el ensayo filosófico con la descripción formal y la valoración estética, incorporando en sus textos críticos las propias preocupaciones intelectuales, tales como la identidad nacional, la relación entre representación y realidad, la naciente tecnología audiovisual y la influencia del liberalismo y el materialismo en las sociedades de la posguerra.

Abstract

The present article examines the critical work of the Argentine writer Carmen Gándara in Realidad. Revista de ideas (Buenos Aires, 1947-1949). The analysis began with an exploratory reading of the thirteen texts that make up the corpus, followed by the selection and close examination of relevant passages. In these writings, Gándara combines aesthetic criticism with philosophical reflection. Her reading practice -- her interpretive effort -- takes shape in the texts through a strategy of approach and distancing in relation to the object of criticism. In this way, Gándara blends philosophical essay writing with formal description and aesthetic evaluation, incorporating into her critical prose her own intellectual concerns, such as national identity, the relationship between representation and reality, the emerging audiovisual technologies, and the influence of liberalism and materialism on postwar societies.
